Requiring password reset for email sign-in accounts

Administrators can require users to reset their email sign-in passwords the next time they sign in. In addition, TLS Protect Cloud enforces password resets every 12 months automatically.

Prerequisite

Before you can enable the password reset option, ensure you have administrator access to TLS Protect Cloud.

To enable the password reset requirement for a user's email sign-in account

  1. Sign in to Venafi Control Plane.

  2. Click Settings > Users.

  3. Locate and select the user account you want to configure.

  4. Select Require password change at next sign-in, and then click Save.

The next time the user attempts to sign in, they will be required to reset their account.
