F5 Distributed Cloud

You can provision a certificate to F5 Distributed Cloud HTTP load balancers. When you provision a certificate, it is pushed to the specified certificate object in your F5 Distributed Cloud namespace and takes effect immediately on all load balancers that reference it.

  1. Click Installations > Machines.

  2. Click the checkbox next to the F5 Distributed Cloud machine where you'll install the certificate.

  3. Click Provision a certificate.

  4. From the Choose a certificate from the inventory field, begin typing the certificate name you want to provision. Click the certificate when you see it listed.

Verify that you've selected the correct certificate by reviewing the Subject DN, Validity, and Fingerprint.

  5. In the Namespace field, enter the F5 Distributed Cloud namespace where the certificate object will be created or updated.

  6. In the Certificate Object Name field, enter the name of the certificate object in F5 Distributed Cloud. If the object already exists, it will be updated with the new certificate.

  7. (Optional) In the Load Balancer Name field, enter the name of a specific HTTPS load balancer. This field is for reference purposes and helps identify which load balancers use this certificate.

  8. If you don't want the certificate to be pushed when you save, toggle the Push upon saving slider to No.

  9. Click Save.

After saving, the certificate is pushed to the F5 Distributed Cloud certificate object and takes effect immediately on all load balancers that reference it, without requiring a login to the F5 Distributed Cloud console, a manual upload, or a load balancer restart. An installation is created on the Installations tab.
