Viewing your license entitlements and usage¶
The Licensing page in TLS Protect Cloud shows how many Secured Certificate Instances (SCIs) your organization is entitled to use and how many are currently in use. This visibility helps you monitor consumption trends, plan renewals, and ensure compliance with your organization's contract terms.
License version affects this page
What you see on this page depends on if you are using the current license model or the legacy license model. This page is written for the current license model. See the drop-down text for details on what you see if you haven't transitioned off of the legacy model yet.
What you can view on the Licensing page¶
The Licensing page shows your entitled number of Secured Certificate Instances (SCIs) and your current usage. It provides the following information:
- Billing cycle: The start and end dates of your current billing period
- Package: Your assigned TLS Protect Cloud package (Standard or Enterprise)
- Version: The licensing model version
- Entitled SCIs: The number of SCIs included in your license
- Current SCI usage: The number of SCIs currently in use
- Last measured: The date and time when usage was most recently calculated
- Total certificates in inventory: The number of certificates known to TLS Protect Cloud
Note
The number of certificates in inventory does not affect your license usage. Only certificates that meet SCI criteria are counted toward your entitlement.
Usage data is refreshed once daily. If you've recently changed monitoring settings or certificate installation locations, updated usage will appear the following day. The timestamp lets you see when the data was last refreshed (which can help you anticipate when the information will be updated again).
Fields visible for legacy-licensed tenants
If your organization is using a legacy licensing model, the Licensing page may show:
- Kubernetes Clusters: The number of clusters you're entitled to use
- Long-lived certificates: Certificates with a validity period over 90 days
- Short-lived certificates: Certificates valid for 90 days or less
Refreshing usage data¶
License usage data is calculated once daily at a fixed time in UTC. Because of this, manually triggering a refresh is not currently supported from the Licensing page. If you have recently made changes (such as removing monitored certificates or updating installation locations), those changes will be reflected in the next day’s calculation.
