Inviting other users to your tenant account

Using single sign-on (SSO) is the best and most secure option for inviting users to sign-in and use your Venafi Control Plane account.

However, if you're not yet using SSO, then as an administrator, you can invite other users to join your tenant account by sending them an invite link.

All users who accept the invite are assigned the Guest role automatically. The Guest role is the most restricted role. This gives you the opportunity then to securely manage invitees by manually adjusting their access once they've accepted an invitation.

After a new user accepts the invitation and registers for an account, you'll see that user's name on the User Management page and can reassign a role as needed.

To invite other users

  1. In the menu bar, click Settings > Users.
  2. Click Invite New User.
  3. Click Copy Link.
  4. Send the link to a new user via chat, text, or email. The recommended methods are chat or text.

IMPORTANT

The link is valid for 10 minutes from the time it was generated until the user clicks the link to accept the invitation. If the validity period has expired, you'll need to generate a new link.

After the invited user clicks the link, an account registration page is available for sign-up. Once successful, you'll see the new user's name on the User Management page.
