Assigning or reassigning a certificate to an application

Discovery finds and brings into your inventory many certificates that have not been assigned to an application. TLS Protect Cloud allows you to assign these certificates to their appropriate applications.

Before assigning or reassigning certificates to applications, wait until after certificate discovery is complete.

To find unassigned certificates

  1. Sign in to TLS Protect Cloud.
  2. Click Inventory > Certificates.
  3. In the filtering options at the top of the inventory, select the following:
  4. In the Certificates drop-down, select All Certificates.
  5. In the Add Criteria drop-down, select Applications. A new Applications drop-down opens.
  6. In the Applications drop-down, select Not assigned to an application.
  7. Click Apply Filter.

    A re-filtered certificate list is displayed.

To assign a certificate to an application

  1. Select one or more certificates that you want to assign to one or more applications.
  2. Click Assign > Assign Certificates.
  3. In Assign Certificates, specify the application(s) to which you want to assign the certificate(s).
  4. Click Assign.

    You'll see a notification that the certificate was assigned to the application.

Reassign a certificate to a different application
  1. Click Filter.
  2. Set properties, discovery, expiration, and installation filters, as needed.
  3. In Applications, select Assigned to any application.
  4. Click Apply. A re-filtered certificate list is displayed.
Remove a certificate's assignment to an application
  1. Click Filter.
  2. Set properties, discovery, expiration, and installation filters, as needed.
  3. In Applications, click in the field to open a list of applications.
  4. Select the application(s).
  5. Click Apply.
  6. In the certificate list, select the certificate(s) you want to remove from the application(s).
  7. Click Assign > Clear Assignments.
  8. Click Clear. You'll see a notification that the certificate was removed from the application(s).
