Assigning a request policy to an application

The owner of an application can apply single or multiple request policies to his or her application so that when a certificate is requested, the appropriate request policy will be used to request the certificate.

These steps assume you already have an existing application. If you need to create a new application, see Create an application.

Note

Resource Owners will only be able to assign request policies where they are either identified as a resource consumer on the request policy, or the request policy is marked "Allow everyone to consume."

To assign a request policy to an application

  1. Sign in to Certificate Manager - SaaS.

  2. Click Applications.

  3. Select the Application to add a request policy to.

  4. Click the Summary tab. The request policies associated with this application are listed in the Request Policies section.

  5. To add a new request policy, click Add next to the Request Policies heading.

  6. Select the request policy you want to add. Click Add.

  7. When you're done, click Save.
