Firefly Overview¶

If you need to issue lots of X.509 certificates fast to support your development environment, use Venafi's Firefly.

Firefly is a high performing, lightweight micro-service for issuing machine identities quickly and with no dependencies. Firefly fits well within globally distributed application architectures, and provides high-speed/high-volume certificate issuance capacity with enterprise trust and policy enforcement.

Firefly offers flexible centralized management through a control plane. Choose between the convenience of the SaaS-based Venafi Control Plane with TLS Protect Cloud, or the control of a self-hosted deployment with TLS Protect Datacenter.
