Roles and permissions¶
Code Sign Manager – SaaS uses the same roles and access control framework as Certificate Manager – SaaS.
In the product and in this documentation, role names appear using Code Sign Manager terminology. However, the ability to perform these tasks depends on the user’s assigned Certificate Manager – SaaS role.
The table below shows how the Code Sign Manager roles map to Certificate Manager – SaaS roles.
| Code Sign Manager - SaaS role | Description | Mapped Certificate Manager - SaaS roles |
|---|---|---|
| Administrator | Performs code signing administration tasks such as creating Signing Keys, managing Projects, and setting permissions. | System Administrator, PKI Administrator |
| Project Owner | Owns and manages one or more Projects, including creating and assigning Signing Keys and managing Authorized Users. | System Administrator, PKI Administrator |
| Authorized User | Uses Signing Keys to perform signing operations. Authorized Users can view and use only the keys assigned to them. | Any Certificate Manager - SaaS role |
