Creating an OutagePREDICT Organizational Unit¶
Organizational Units (OU) should mirror your company's OUs. When you create OUs, you'll be able to assign owners. Owners can be individual users or teams of users. In the event of risk detection or outages, owners are notified and can take appropriate action.
If you plan to assign a team as an owner of your OU but haven't created the team yet, consider creating the team first. Of course, you don't have to, but you won't have to add it to your new OU later on.
To create an Organizational Unit¶
- In the menu bar, click Organization > Org Units.
- Click New.
- Enter the name of the new Org Unit.
- (Optional) Enter a description.
Specify the owners of the new OU, which can be individual users or teams.
When risks or outages occur, notifications are sent to all owners.

(Optional) You can add an application now or create one later.
- Click Create (or Create & New, if you want to add another OU).
You can see your new OU on the Organizational Units page with any other OUs that exist already.
